What I do is keep three roms up to date on my phone, and swap between them via rom manager when I get bored. The three roms (which I think are the best at the moment, for various reasons) are:
Micro mods gingerbread (feels right on the N1, nice and clean)
Micro mods super hybrid desire rom (awesome widgets and 720p video recording)
Miui 12.24 (completely different from other roms, nice look and fast).
Well that's my two pennies (or ten cents) worth :-)
How are you managing three roms, what about your data and apps

Its quite simple really. I just make a nandroid backup of the current rom, save all my apps on titanium backup, then I install a new rom, get it set up how I like it, then make a nandroid backup of that rom. Then do the same with the third. When you want to switch between the roms, you just nandroid restore (i use rom manager) the previous backup you want. It restores with all your set up complete.

we all just have to wait it out.

I've just had a call from HTC after making a complaint. They have assured me that GB will be with N1 by the end of February. Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it.
