AT&T Gets Nexus S; Best Buy Preorder July 24 for $100; Verizon Only Carrier Without

It seems that Verizon is the only carrier now to not have a version of the stock Google Android, the Samsung Nexus S. AT&T just officially announced it on their network, and it has been out for Sprint and T-Mobile for some time now. The new AT&T version is just like the one on T-Mobile (sans HSPA+) and is a vanilla 3G. If you want 4G you will have to try the Sprint version.

Additionally, Best Buy just announced that you can preorder the device on a new AT&T contract for only $100 bucks. In fact, for now, the AT&T version will be sold exclusively at Best Buy. The subsidized version from Best Buy will only come in black, but of course you can still get the white unsubsidized version for $600 dollars if you feel so inclined. Here's the press release:

Sounds like I might have to take a trip to Best Buy on Sunday. Time to do some research on how to get it all rooted up nicely.

That is tempting..... I'd keep them both and switch between.

    Anyone doing that?

I mean have both a Nexus One and a Nexus S, both rooted, switch SIM cards back and forth?
