    Motorola confirms new Google Phone

During the latest conference call Motorola’s CEO has confirmed Motorola will be working with Google to sell a new Android smartphone directly to consumers. The new device will avoid the traditional telco route and be sold in a similar way as the Nexus One. There was no mention of hardware specifications, release dates, or carrier specific information. At first we thought the above photo could be a concept of the Droid2. However with this news today, I'm starting to wonder we are looking at the Nexus Two?

The problem I have with these slide based handsets is they always feel top heavy when opened. I've been using Nokia Communicators going back to the 9000 back in 97' through to the N97 and got used to the fold type with the angled display.

One of my customers has been using a Nokia 9300i sinse it's release and he's been holding out for something similar for the last 2 years. I was hoping the next Google handset would be a similar design.

I believe the first Motorola Android phone that's coming to AT&T will be the Motorola Backflip.

I sure hope the HTC phone they are referring to is the Nexus One!

    Duh

It's from Motorola and it looks like a refined version of the Droid. Why would it be the Nexus Two? That is just stupid. If anything '2' it will be the Droid 2.
