I dont think there are any solid specs out there for the other phones to be able to determine 3G compatibility with T-Mobile and AT&T.
However, as was said, the AT&T N1 will not have 3G access on T-Mobile, just like the T-Mobile N1 does not have 3G access on AT&T.
However, there are talks out there that Google may be doing something to resolve this, but its all rumors.
Bought the AT&T N1.
In order for Google or HTC to make the phones capable to switch between T-Mo 3G and AT&T 3G, N1 will need a new antenna inserted in it.
Now, if the antenna is already there (which I doubt) all it needs is to be activated.
True...and that is not the case at this point. They have 2 separate antennas. However there have been a few people on this board that have complained to Google/HTC about the fact that they bought the T-Mobile version since there was no prospect of AT&T getting the N1. They have been told (again all rumors) that Google is taking information from customers that want to get the AT&T compatible version but bought the T-Mobile version. They said that the phones would likely be sent in to be worked on to make them work on AT&T (whether that means only AT&T 3G or a new antenna supporting both AT&T and T-Mobile)
Bought the AT&T N1.
If the rumors turn out to be true, HTC (the manufacturer, not Google the software maker) would change the antenna inside.
Until something concrete shows up, it would be safe to safe that the two are totally incompatible.
