Highly unlikely because SetCPU requires root access. The only way I see this working would be if Google created their own and it was built-in to Android itself. At any rate, the battery life could be improved in the upcoming Android 2.2

I'd be content if they only had a two-stage setting. Full power when awake, half power when asleep. Simple as that. I bet it's during sleep that most of the gains SetCPU gets you are achieved.
