no email notifications

when i post on these forums i am supposed to get instant email notifications to replies....i have it checked ...but i never do...?

email is not designed to be instantaneous. The fact that it's generally very fast these days does not mean that it will always be what you might consider timely. If you want "instant", use instant messaging.

Ok, so now you're giving some clues.... that's good, that's a start.

Are you checking the emails only from your N1?

Is the email a gmail account? If so, can you check it from a computer.

Is sync enabled?

Can you get emails to that account from other places?

I get this now and then, not sure why, but initially I had sync off and I didnt get any of my email notifications. After turning it back on i get them more consistently. I have about 5 email accounts set up, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, and a few pop accts.

i have never received any email notification since i joined the forum a couple months ago...also, always using the pc, never on the forum using the phone

Yes..double-check the accuracy of your email, and also check to ensure the mail isn't being directed to spam/spam filter.
