    New Nexus One owner

    Hi all,

I am from Singapore and a new owner of Nexus One (just got it yesterday). I am terribly excited and at the same time a little bit disappointed about it. Confusing right? Well, my disappointment is with regard to the battery life. Played with it for about 1.5 hours immediately after I complete charging and the battery drop to 57%. That's real fast compare to my HTC Hero.....

Give it a couple cycles, battery life will get better. And welcome!

turn off the wifi, bluetooth, sync and gps ..
Live wallpapers also drain the battery faster.
Getting for example advanced task killer app will help a lot.

    Congrats on your new device

I leave Sync and GPS on all day and usually get home after 8 hours with about 65-70% battery life. Now, my usage is probably very light to get that type of time out of it.

When I first got the phone, my "ooh shiny" impulse was to play with it often. That killed my battery until I figured out what my purpose for the phone was.

Just for usage reference, here's how I use mine.
Average of 1-2 phone call every day (just a few minutes each)
    Maybe 12 texts per day.
Minimal web browsing (I work retail and we have a computer I can look things up on, or I'm at home in front of my PC)
    No live wallpaper.

So, yes, I'm a light user.
