Hey,
I have been coming to the forum for a while now.
Every time I do a google search for something related to Android, or the Nexus One I usually find myself coming here.
So I finally decided I would sign up.
I currently own a Google Nexus One running Froyo 2.2.
I currently do not have it rooted, but have considered doing it - just afraid of voiding my warranty!
I run ADW Launcher as my home launcher
I recently switched to using the BUUF theme - it is pretty sweet but does it ever take up a lot of space!
My current favorite app I would have to say is App 2 SD Free by AZSoft Tech.
My current favorite widget is a mix between beautiful widgets and Android Agenda Widget.
I am thinking about maybe doing a few app reviews just for fun. I like being able to try a bunch of different apps until I find one that suites me just right. I can be found on appbrain here: Bourne553's Apps on the Nexus One
And umm yeah, that's about it.
See you guys around

Welcome aboard !
with 2.2 you can root and unroot with a touch of a button with universal androot. Works great and won't unlock the bootloader so your warranty will be safe.
and therefore no pc is needed...

Wow this sounds almost to good to be true. I am going to have to give it a try as there are a few root only apps that I wouldn't mind trying out!
Thanks for the advice.
And so far the information on this site has been the best so I can definitely attest a little bit to the group of people you have here.
thanks for the welcomes

============================
- just read up about universal androot and saw that it is no longer being supported because of the fix google released in v.2.2.1
I just checked and realized I had 2.2.1 (forgot about that random update that came a few months back).
I will I will have to find another method for rooting and do a little more reading on it!

Hey,
yeah I will have to do some more research.
The little bit of reading that I did last night freaked me out a little bit. I definitely want to make sure that if I root, I can go back easily if I decide to.
Thanks for another suggestion though
