    Introducing myself

    Hi,

Got a Nexus One about 2 months ago. My first ever smartphone. I loved it until I upgraded the software to Gingerbread and since then it has been a nightmare come true. I cant understand how Google or Android can release an upgrade with some many problems. This upgrade has ruined my phone and I cant seem to make phone calls because the screen just goes blank everytime I try to dial a number. I cant use many other applications on my phone.

I found out about this forum through one of my many google searches. I am hoping to find some information to resolve the problems I am having with my phone. I cant seem to switch back to my previous operating system. Anyway, not sure what else to say at this point, but feel free to ask me anything or send your comments.

    Thanks

    RB

Well, I'll welcome you to the forum, at least.

I don't know what to tell you about the Gingerbread update...it's workin' fine for me. But there have been reports of some users having problems, so be sure to look around using the Search function, and maybe you'll find a workable solution.

Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your time here, and that you find an answer.

    Welcome aboard!

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your phone (you're not alone, though it does only appear to effect some people).

There is an option to revert to a previous version of android, but it will wipe all your data and settings. Most of your data can be backed up, but not everything...
