New member - Should I purchase an N1?

Hi all,

I'm just looking for some unbiased input!

I'll be living in Europe for the next year and need an unlocked phone to run their SIM card.

Would you still recommend the N1 over any other unlocked phone for the same price or less; < $300.



Other phones that I was thinking about as well:

Nokia C6-01
Samsung Galaxy Ace
Samsung i5800 Galaxy 3
LG Optimus GT540


What I'm looking are the following features:

Quad-band
Unlocked
Nice overall camera (Picture quality, zoom, speed, etc...)
Overall phone bulk, even with a thin case, which will fit nicely in pants pocket
Ability to run Skype for international calling
Decent/Long battery life
Durability (Both construction, through daily use, and hardware/software)
GPS navigation - ability to run offline
WiFi stability - no antenna/connection issues



I've been researching for a little while now and have been thinking about purchasing an N1, over my other choices, since I believe it fits my above list of needed features and seems to have a good following.

What would you say?
Can you still recommend the phone?
Is there another product that would suit my needs better?

Yes the nexus one will fit you fro all those needs definitely recommend it. Since you need an unlocked phone your choices are limited so I have no better recommendation then a nexus one.
