    I switch from iPhone 3GS

    Hello,

Nice to meet you all. I am going to give my iPhone 3GS to my wife and start going to to Android world. I hope this decision is the right one. Can't wait to receive my Nexus One.

    Jack,

It's going to be different for sure but I think with an open mind you will find that you love the Android platform and the openness of it, not the closed source "we control whatever you have on your phone" type experience that Apple has

yes.. i am tired of restrictions... but I heard Android has some too.. Nexus One for one says it is not able to do internet tethering..

i wonder if this is something that can be fixed via... say rooting?

I think this is one function that many would like to see right out of the box. I'm sure its just a matter of time.

I'm giving up my 3GS as well Jack. You're not alone!

They said that the tethering was an implementation issue that was to be resolved not an issue with tmobile and their network (unlike ATT and the iPhone).

I am giving up my iPhone 3G as well... adding to the lot....

But still, I appreciate and love the creativity on iPhone though....

I am also delighted to have ordered N1. I didn't quite like G1 ;-) due to its looks... Hey... personal opinion.
