Hi, new here, hoping to learn more about the N1

I have been waiting for Verizon to finally get a phone that I may like, and the N1 may be it (once it comes out for Verizon). It's a great help to read the experiences of people who already have this phone and am very appreciative that they have taken the time to share with others. Of course, our reception is very poor inside our home, so I'm curious how strong the reception is with the N1, as we are waiting to get one of the combo femtocells that is supposed to come out this year (which allows EVDO also).

Welcome to the forums, Billsfan2! Glad you have found us helpful. I'm sure we'd like to hear how the femtocells work for you, too.

I've heard a lot about the N1 features, but not that much about how strong it's reception is yet. Perhaps I just need to read a bit more. We'd be buying the femtocell that's out now (for voice only) if my husband had his way. Typically we have to stand by the open front door or at one end of the house near a window to talk (with a speakerphone no less). Or, in my husband's case, he'll grab the phone and walk outside, even in winter, because that's his business number. Brrrr. On the upside, my daughter has an iPhone with AT&T and had to either go outside or up to the top of the driveway to talk, LOL.
