    Well.... Here I am.

Hello to all!! I am a long time iPhone user (Since it was released) that has slowly became tired of the stalling OS that once was so new. Through the the last couple months I have taken advantage of all the free test drive the carriers give you..

First jump was to T-Mobile when the MyTouch 3G hit the floor, while I was really liking the Android OS, the phone was very sluggish, typing was way less than enjoyable and the 3G that was just getting up for T-mobile was almost none existent. So... after looking around I was seriously missing my iPhone and didn't not see a viable option to replace it.

Then, along came the Verizon Droid... while I was not thrilled at all about a physical keyboard, I figured I would just forget it was there and stick with virtual. Now, the OS it self was a great experiance and i really started to get the feeling of how the Android OS ran... but the device itself was a "brick" that slipped out of my hands way to often, and after typing progress reports and filling in forms my hands wear litteraly sore from supporting the damn thing. Also... even though people speak about Verizons network like it is the end all be all of cell service I experianced many "All circuits are busy" and dropped calls... so good bye.

Now at that time I was still in contract so back to using my 3GS. While the old familuar feeling was there, after tasting so of what other devices can do it made me even more demanding and critical of the quicks my iPhone has always had.

After a couple months I was out of contract with AT&T and decided to give Sprint a try with the HTC Hero... Well after a week I realized I felt the same way I did when I tried the MyTouch, even though the OS seemed a bit more polished and I liked HTC's Sense laid on the top... It was still VERY slugish. So... while I was happy with my 3G speeds and my Service I decided to give the Palm Pre a try... I have to say this was the best experience I had during my quest to replace my iPhone. It was sleek, fast, loved the multitasking and yes, even though it had a phsyical keyboard I could scream on it with nearly 100% accuratcy. Why don't I still have it? Well I was not happy with the screen size, the abomanation that Palm calls copy and paste, the whole slider thing was very irritating while quickly responding to emails or text while doing other things like browsing or reading docs. And to top it off... SPRINT'S customer service was terrible.

So, this takes me to 3 days before my 30 days is up with Sprint and the Nexus One is released. Goodbye Sprint, Good bye Palm....

Hello Nexus One on T-mobile. To avoid any more long winded details I will some up my experience with my new Device.

This thing is everything I want in my device, the 3G is fast, the calls are unreal, I can type like a monster, I can prepare all documents, reports and forms, save to SD, email them, browse the web like I am on my laptop and the customer service is like calling a friend. Sum it all up....

This thing is a Fu**ing animal and I could't be happier!.

I look forward to reading and learning around here. See you around...

    Thanks,

    Jason

Welcome aboard, Jason. Can't say I'm surprised by your reaction to the N1, though. But it does carry a bit more impact, given your testing of the other platforms.

    Glad you have you here!
