Soon to be Nexux One buyer

    Hi everyone,

Certainly, I am looking forward to purchasing the Nexus One. It will be my first smart phone. From the little bit I have read it appears that 'rooting' the phone is a prudent step. Does anyone have any recommendations concerning this? If so, for a non-tech person, what would be the best source (most straightforward procedure) explaining how to get it done?

Congratulations on your wise decision to buy the N1 :D
Here is a bit of advice for you: play with your new phone for a few weeks until you get a feel for it. Not only will it make you more comfortable when you are finally ready to root it, but also you will appreciate it more when you know what limitations you DON'T have anymore
