I also have a prepaid 02 card in the Czech Rep. for a Nexus One i bought in the US before coming. Could you pass along the APN settings you used? Thus far I haven't been able to access any 3g or 2g networks

    Menu>Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
Hit Menu button, create new APN.
    Menu>Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
    tap Menu, create new APN.
    name: 02
APN: wap.o2.co.uk (contract customers) or payandgo.o2.co.uk (pay-as-you-go customers)
    Proxy:193.113.200.195
    Port: 8080 or 9201
username: o2wap (contract customers) or payandgo (pay-as-you-go customers)
    password: password
    server:http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.
    uk:8002 Auth type:normal
    Hit the menu button>save settings.
Select the new APN name, then hit the home button. Your 3G connection will shortly appear in the top bar indicating that it connected briefly
"If you have received an MMS message that you can't view from your o2 mobile, you can view this via o2's website. Go to http://mediamessaging.o2.co.uk. You'll need to log on to o2's website using your standard o2 web logon. Once you've logged on, you'll be able to access the message in the Media Messaging folders. If you don't have an account with o2, you can register via www.o2.co.uk"
    Now test the settings
