    battery

I have an issue where the battery seems to be draining at an alarming rate. I still have 2.1, don't use bluetooth or wi-fi. I don't have many calls nor access the internet often, just check emails and text some. I have had it off the charger since 8am EST and it's now 2:30 EST and the battery is at 38%. It never seemed to be nearly this fast before. The phone was purchased in March.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Also...

    1) Look in Settings > About phone > Battery use to see what's using the battery the most.

    2) turn down screen brightness when possible

    3) If you don't want to root and get SetCPU, you can try this JuiceDefender - battery saver vEvolution 1.3.7beta- Application for Android | Tools

I checked and saw the Android System system was using 80%, I restarted, so hopefully that will help.

I prefer to see myself as as "out of phase" with the rest of the Eastern US.

    EDT is the correct answer.

That is impressive! I can go for about 24 hours on 2.1, but of course that gets cut way down when I get a lot of texts or emails I have to reply to. I hope Froyo increases battery life for me!

I always wonder, if the more widgets you have, the more battery will be drained. But I cant live without widgets.

also, if turning off the gps, wont the weather not accurate?
