    SMS storage full

Not sure if anyone has the same/similar experience.

So I installed a lot of apps but still kept it above 20Mb free.

This morning I installed a game and the ROM went down to 16Mb so naturally it will warn me of "Low storage space"

Interestingly at the same time when my friend sent me a SMS, it shows "SMS storage full" and asked me to delete some SMS so that future SMS can come through. Yes, the one my friend just sent me was "rejected" and I never got it.

So I was thinking to myself if "Low Storage Space" on ROM relates to SMS full? So I uninstalled the game and tried to SMS to myself and it worked.

Conclusion is, once ROM storage is low to the level I get a warning, I can no longer receive SMS.

Is that true for all other Nexus One users? Any solution?

I am using Chomp SMS by the way, but I dont think it affects anything.

    Thanks first.

Ya, this sucks. It's a known issue that when the internal memory gets too low, incoming SMS events are not only rejected but lost forever. There's a discussion on the Google Android forums about the issue so we need to wait for a fix.

The odd thing about it is that my trusty 'ol SE w810i would also reject incoming messages when memory was full but would receive them as soon as some older ones were deleted. In this case even after deletion, the messages are lost and you don't even know who sent them. The fact that they are lost is a serious issue to me. I don't care if they are rejected but let me get them later.

Agreed, I have noticed this issue as well... I just try to keep plenty of space on the internal memory by using app2sd to move as many apps as I can to the SD card. It also bugs me that once the message is rejected, it is lost forever.
