    Wireless N

    Hello all.

Does anyone know how to get wireless N in a nexus 1? I just installed fibre optic tv and internet and have a portable pc with wireless N. Was having trouble getting wi fi on the nexus. Had to change wi fi to g.

    Only way is to root?

I read that Froyo 2.2 was supposed to have made wireless N available but seems it didnīt happen?

Seems it needs a driver for the chip?

    Thanks,
    C

I now know it has wireless n. BUT I canīt get it to work on the nexus.

If I set router to g/n -nexus wonīt connect
Router does not have option for n only ( I think that is the problem)

If I set router to g, I immediately connect with Nexus.

With g I get slower speed on laptop.:-(

    Seems a no win situation.

Yes, Iīve seen that, thank you. I donīt fancy rooting though. Call me a chicken:-)

For everyone: I DO Google any doubt I have before posting questions in ANY forum. I know people usualy go to forums and ask silly basic questions that a simple Google search can answer. NOT me.

My point on the first post, based on my take is that you may need an N only router. And, I have read that even then you are only going to get 2.4gz because of the N1. The only one who posted a fix was someone who had his router settings wrong.

Good Luck on figuring it out!

Ya check the router. If the N freqs are 5 GHz then I don't think you can connect.
