Exclamation Wi-Fi FAIL = HTC hardware issue??

    Hi,

After about a year, my Wi-fi has stopped working. When I turn it on, and it begins a search for a network (in Settings) the search hangs with this message:

(in process com. android.settings) is not responding

I can FC or Wait or Report.

I have Googled this problem, and all comments agree that it's a HTC hardware issue.

Is it? Can you confirm this problem? Any suggestions?

If it worked at some point then it is either your hardware that got damaged or its a software issue. Unfortunately as far as restoring it I say your two only options are call htc and factory reset (not necessarily in that order).
