You want to get rid of all the infos permanently off your phone?
Factory data reset is the only way to delete the Google account.

I think he means delete what is on his google account not his google account from his phone.

Ok well while we wait for him do you even think it is possible cause I didn`t think you could I know you can for apps but for contacts their just the same contacts as in your Google account so the only way to do that would be to remove all you contacts from your Google account or delete it totally.

    Thanks guys

The issue I have is that the latest upated has played havoc with my battery life, reducing it to under 8 hours. When I have done a Factory Reset and then relogged in with my google Account it automatically downloads all my apps (they were backed up).

I have worked out that its these apps that are causing the drain on the battery. Even deleted apps are being downloaded and still working in the background.

So I wanted to link my google account (I don't want to delete the google account)but not the apps and thought if I could go in and delete them (the apps) from my backup I could start afresh.

    Hopefully this makes sense.

OK when you do the data reset to wipe everything clean.
upon starting up your device it will ask you to log into your Google account.
Skip that part, now go into Settings>Privacy and un-click the
    "Automatic Restore" box.

Now you can can go and log into the Google account and install only selected apps.

Or before factory reset go to settings -> privacy -> then uncheck backup my data this will have the same effect as what baseballfanz said just different method.
