Try rebooting. If you unlock the screen to soon after booting, your system may not have time to fully load. Usually fixes itself, but a reboot is a good idea...

Tried that didn't work. Thanks though. Looked in app list and market is not even present. N1 has been randomly removing apps which wasn't a big deal seeing as I could reinstall them but now that option has been removed. Any other ideas are welcome.

    Very bizarre.
Could maybe understand if you were rooted and playing around with files, but you weren't...

You could try a factory reset, but that would wipe your data...

Personally, I would root, so you can make a full backup, and then flash a new image... my only concern is that your internal memory may be failing...

And what if that file is gone permanently and still have no market to get other apps with.

You can install the market again if your rooted...

Do you care about your data and settings? If not, I would try the factory reset first...

Do you have a file manager installed on your phone?

Not now, reset phone and market was restored. But I had a program for sending to SD. Why?

File manager would've given a few more option, that's all. Sounds like you're good now though?
