Rooted my Nexus one and it crashed!

    Hello,

yesterday i rooted my nexus one and then installed a custom ROM. I found all the steps in a website and followed them exactly. The sad part is, my phone doesn't work at all now. All what i get when I press the power button is the nexus one logo and it doesn't move, basically it freezes like that.

Would any one please help to get my phone back to life

    Cheers!

Im new to rooting but I can try to help

What custom ROM did you try? (CM7? MicroMod?)
    Whats your HBOOT version?
Do you have custom recovery from Amon_RA in place?
Did you get your Nexus One on contract or did you pay the full 530 dollars for the phone?

    Try this..

    HBOOT looks alright.
You are using old recovery v1.5.3
Try using the new one 2.1.1
    http://android.d3xt3r01.tk/cyanogen/...-v2.1.1-CM.img

And I believe you did all of this cuz you wanted Gingerbread on your cellphone?
(Thats why I rooted) I tried Micromod777 first but Im currently on CM7 (they update the links everyday..) and I love it.
    You can get it from...
    [ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] Gingerbread CM7 Preview 01/14/2011 (DT A2SD) - xda-developers
Remember to download both the ROM and the GAPPS (Google apps) from the above link
Try again and let me know if it helps...

    Power off your nexus one
Press the track ball and then power button till it powers on in fastboot mode
Press Power once to select Bootloader
Press Vol down to scroll down to Recovery option and select power button
It should show the recovery (in green) with build RA-Nexus-v2.1.1 written at the bottom.
Please confirm if that is the case

Download the CM7 file (77.9 MB) from update-cm-7.0.0-RC0-N1-signed_011411_184022.zip
Download the gingerbread Gapps (13.5 MB) from gingerbread-gapps.zip
Put them in the root directory of your SD card and go into recovery again.

Boot into recovery again using steps below:
    Power off your nexus one
Press the track ball and then power button till it powers on in fastboot mode
Press Power once to select Bootloader
Press Vol down to scroll down to Recovery option and select power button

Select the option to Wipe data/factory reset.
Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
    Select Install zip from sdcard.
    Select Choose zip from sdcard.
Select the 77.9 MB file first and install it
Then select the 13.5 MB file and install it

    then reboot

Let me know if it works
