Nexus one is a brick - HELP PLEASE

Hey guy, I could really use some help

I updated to the gingerbread via the ota update a couple of days ago, was running fine
Then today my phone suddenly went off while I was using it, when I try to boot it up, it gets to the lock screen and then it's unresponsive, completely. Can't do anything but pull out the battery.
I rooted when I was using froyo through the superoneclick root method, I was running cyanogen but switched back to stock froyo when the OTA started going out. I tried charging it, running it in safe mode, rebooting into recovery, nothing.
When I try to reboot into recovery it gives me the dreaded android with the triangle exclamation thing.
PLEASE guys, I could really REALLY use some help.
    Thanks a lot

First, you're not bricked (unless you see any bricks with android and exclamations on them?)... xD

How far does the phone boot up? Static X, or the animated X, out nothing at all?

All the way up to the lock screen, then its unresponsive, blah.
I'm using it as a paperweight right now, so technically it can be a brick xD

See if you can boot in safe mode...

Power up, and when you get to the static X hold the trackball down for a while until it boots.

Tried that too, it reaches the lock screen and still unresponsive, no luck. It says Safe mode on the bottom, just in case you're wondering.
    Now I'm really worried.

    I wouldn't worry just yet...

We got a few options we can try, but they mean you'll lose your data and settings, is that OK?

After I lock the screen at the lock screen, i.e., press the power button the screen goes off with its usual animation, then I can't turn it on.
Also I just got a message, phone vibrated and heard the ringtone, still can't turn the screen back on.

Boot into recovery, and don't worry about the android and exclamation, that just means it's the stock recovery...

To get the menu options to show, you need to press and hold power and volume up together (press power slightly before volume up).

    Chose the factory reset option...
