N1 dies after 2.3.3 OTA update!!

My N1 died about 3 hours after I received the OTA gingerbread 2.3.3 update. It worked fine for a few hours and then would not turn back on. I took the battery out and then back in (soft reset) and still it would not turn on. Then in desperation I did a hard (factory) reset and still nothing happened; I did this by first pushing the "low" volume button and then the "on off" button but still it would not come on. Then I charged it overnight, and when it was attached to the charged, an "organge" charge light initially was on and eventually changed to "green" indicating it was fully charged. I did the above again without any change (soft and hard reset). It was still completely dead. I thin did both a soft and hard reset while it was plugged into the charged but it remained dead!!

Please any suggestions? I'm so disappointed as I was only able to use 2.3.3 for a few hours and then my entire phone went dead!! I called HTC and they said send it for repairs!

There's quite a few GB related stories. Most get resolved without sending back the handset. Hope it works out for you.

If it's not turning on, there's not much that can be done really...

Have you tried holding the trackball and power to get into the bootloader?

    +1

Me it was the day after I got cm7 when the battery died it would just not do anything anymore not even the little charging light so I ordered a new battery and were waiting to see what comes out of it my guess is that it is the battery.
