Not up on stock anymore, but copy them to your pc from sdcard

Use MyBackUp Pro and/or a launcer like ADW or LauncherPro, if they work on stock

    MyBackUp Pro does

It's not a matter of just copying the mp3 files. I do have them backed-up on my pc.

The big issues with a factory re-set are:

1.) There's no guarantee that a factory re-set will correct the problem(s) that GB caused, so I'd maybe (read probably) go through the next 2 problems in vain.

2.) When I re-install MixZing Media Player, I will need to go through every 1600+ mp3 and re-list it into playlists. This is a real PITA.

3.) I have at least 3 paid apps that aren't from the Android Market that I *may* have problems retrieving again since none are on the SD card and none were paid for with Google Checkout.

The Report Android Problem page at Google Forums has now been closed  and emails sent to Android Support are now bouncing. Guess this is the Head-In-The-Sand Ostrich approach to Android support.

Well the Android guy at HTC said it wasn't a keyboard issue but a problem with the Android OS itself, but then again he doesn't really know. This is the 1st time he's been alerted to the issue.

But, thanks - I'll consider doing that.

2 - my guess is that the Mixzing db is stored on the SD card, not the phone (try renaming the Mixzing folder and see if it causes any problems - you can always name it back)

3 - AppMonster or eStrongs file manager can back those up for you...

Totally understand the PITA thing though - can be a bit of a nightmare!

Did factory reset - accomplished nothing. Same issues persist... and the phone isn't working now.

Lost 2 of the 3 third party paid apps. Developers cannot be found any longer. And now I have to manually add over 1600 MP3s to playlists.

Before I do this I may see if I can send this thing back to HTC.

    More Gingerbread Problems

I've already posted about a couple resulting issues due to the Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) OTA update on my stock Nexus One:

    • Cut'n Paste no longer works
    • Contacts list disappears intermittently
    • Contacts list Info dissapears
    • Unexpected screen blackouts
    • App screen freezes

Well today (even after factory re-set) I encountered another issue seemingly the result of Gingerbread:

    • Google NAV no longer interrupts/overrides music to give voice commands.

    It just keeps getting worse.

Definitely if you like gingerbread then passimg back to frg33 and then update back to gingerbread but I don't think 2.3.3 is worth updating back to I personally would stay on froyo and wait for another update.
