    Can't Cut'n Paste on GB

Gingerbread update stopped my ability to cut'n paste. It says "copied to clipboard" but the text I copied will not paste anywhere, not even to gmail.

    Anyone else?

I would try clearing the cache and data form the keyboard.

Thanks for the suggestion. Makes sense... the clipboard cache may be full - but it didn't work. I still can't paste anywhere.

After copying the text, an alert says "copied to clipboard." Then I long press on various text fields but all I get is the option to choose:

    [Input Method]
    Android Keyboard

Prior to GB, I would get:

    [Input Method]
    Android Keyboard
    Paste

    Still looking for fix

Now it seems to be intermittent. Tried about a dozen times and one attempt did actually paste.

So now I guess I'm saying that the new cut'n paste feature of GB is buggy (a nice way of saying inefficient.) Hope enough users complain and the bug gets fixed.

    Mines OK

    Are you rooted or Stock

You could try a reboot--preferably battery pull

    If rooted--reflash rom

    I'm stock

OK, did battery pull (thanks for the suggestion.) First attempt at cut'n paste succeeded. Now to see if it lasts.

Glad you got it--at work--couldn't reply till now

Was going to suggest as a workaround to copy to sdcard then try to copy paste from there. Not sure if that would have helped.

Nope, it worked only the one time.

Just called HTC and spoke with their Android Nexus One specialist and they have no clue other than a factory reset - not an option as I would need to do too much app config (over 1600 mp3s that would need to be re listed.)
