Voice in call comes out of the media speaker on back of phone. Please Help.

When I'm in a call the voice on the other end comes out of the media speaker on the back of the phone. So I have to use the phone backwards when I'm in a call. It's a weird bug. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like it's a glitch making it think that it's in speaker phone. Is the rear speaker very loud when you are in a call? If I had to suggest something I would say clear dialer cache (if there is any) and data, if that doesn't work do a factory reset.

no the speaker is way quieter than it is on speaker phone but speaker phone works perfectly. I end up using speaker phone most of the time because I can't hear if I dont. I cleared the dialer cache and I have done just about everything thinkable; factory reset, wiped EVERYTHING, multiple different roms, different kernel. This is killing me. It doesn't seem like it would be a hardware issue but at this point thats about all it could be.

When you switch ROMs, are you restoring data with Titanium (or similar)?

I would try a passimg back to stock, and then test before installing or restoring anything...?

That's exactly what he means. You can root back after we just need to find out if a stock ROM can fix it if not then it's probably some type of hardware problem (which I doubt a little but anything can happen).

    Use the passimg method

    Passimg method
    1. download the file from this link [ROM] Passion_Google_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ ROM - xda-developers

    2. rename that file passimg.zip

    3. place that file on the root of your SD card (not in any folders)

    4. turn off you phone and reboot into bootloader by holding down the volume down key at the same time as power button.

    5. you should wait a second for the SD card to mount then you will be prompted to flash the passimg file accept and wait for the file to flash.

    6. after that you should be all good just reboot and reinstall everything.

sorry about the late reply. had prom this weekend haha. but that did not work. I downloaded the file, renamed it and placed it on my sd card. but when I booted into the bootloader it found the file and the loading bar at the top right came on but I was not prompted to install.

There are two things you can try rename the file passimg if you are on windows because or else windows hides the extension and you end up with a file named passimg.zip.zip the other thing is if there is a second zip inside the first then try extracting it and doing the same procedure with the other zip.
