    using Edge when expecting Wifi

    I am using my Nexus One with AT&T prepaid. I had the WiFi turned on (and had a WiFi connection) and thought that was what was in operation, however, after I logged off, I found that my entire session was running with Edge. How do I avoid that?

    I had the same problem. N1 seems to turn off the WiFi during 'sleep', perhaps to conserve power. I use the Quick Settings app to selectively to turn off mobile data. It works.
