i feel sorry for your mms problem.
as my first time in setting up mms also have this kind of issue.

    maybe you should try this:
    1. delete all apn, restart phone, reset the GPRS/MMS
make sure your GPRS apn type is default (internet data will have radio button besides)
mms apn type is mms (there will be no radio button/circle besides this apn)

    2. if it is ok for you, you might wanna try to hard reset your phone once and reset the apn.
how you reset GPRS/MMS on N1?
delete all APN from your list, restart your phone, and create those apn back

I had trouble with my MMS setting when I was in the UAE as well. Employees at Etisalat were not much of help either.

problem solved. those two APN can't work together in the same time. In order to use MMS all you have to do is to delete APN Etisalat (for internet 3G).....unfortunately .... now if I want to use Internet I have to edit APN again, but MMS it will not work unless I'll deleted again. So sad.....

My Carrier is Etisalat and I am leaving in United Arab Emirates. I have also HTC Hero and Mototrola Milestone and I have the following settings:
    Name: mms
    APN: mms
    username: mms
    password: mms
    MMSC: http://mms/servlets/mms
    MMS Proxy: 010.012.000.030
    MMS Port: 8080
    APN type: mms
Works brilliant, but with Nexus it doesn't.
Hi, you say that it was easy setting up internet on your nexus with etisalat. Can you let me know how you did it?

YES I have both APN's for 3G and MMS working at the same time.

Yes, BOTH work at the SAME TIME!
(sorry for caps, I'm excited too)

Kindly use the following link to make your settings for Etisalat. Don't use the first setting at the top. The other two are what I used.
