Nexus One low brightness red hue w/pix...

I just bought my nexus one, I'm not too happy about the brightness. When i go to the lowest brightness setting my screen has a red hue. compared to my brother's nexus, mine is noticeably red. should i call and get a replacement? here are some pictures side by side with my bro's nexus.

This is a common issue with the N1 I think. I'm not sure if the varying levels of red are universal to OLED screens, or just the one on this phone. My first one was much like yours. Noticeably red at low brightness levels. I compared it to my Wife's N1 and decided to get it replaced.

Got the new one and was initially outraged that I had another red phone. Then I compared to my old one, and the new one is way better. Still a slight red tint on grays at lowest brightness, but I think these screens just vary a lot more. I don't know if I would have even noticed on this new handset if I hadn't been looking for it. I think I'll keep the current one for now. Clearly, some have very low red levels and some have high ones. Might not be worth the hassle to keep swapping out phones hoping for a perfect one.

Your current one though, definitely get it swapped. Just don't be too picky.

question for you, is this showing up in default brightness or when the backlighting dims before going off? or low brightness setting.

I think i have the same problem, but only when backlighting is set to the lowest setting. I can live with that but not sure if its universal.

    EDITTED:

Read the question wrong. Thought it had to do with the camera.

I saw another thread on XDA involving this same problem with red pixels showing much more visibly on some Nexus. Seems like the only way to fix it is to have it replaced by HTC.

That is Dolphin Browser. I don't think different browsers would render webpages with different hues.
