Change Default Search Engine on Nexus

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the Search Engine from Google to something else on the Nexus One? I bought this phone so I can use both in China and U.S., but with Google backing away from China, how will I be able to use this phone? Just curious.

Can't you just install another browser and use that instead?

NO, as I understand the point of this phone is it's accessibility to the search engine with it's search key. You are only a softkey hit away from the net. And hitting that key accesses the Google Search Engine. But without a Google site in China, will it effect the full enjoyment of the phone. I think that when you hit Google.com in China, it will still access Google.com/hk the Hong Kong site. At least I hope. But I hear that Android phones in China are now being outfitted with Bing or other search engine. I wonder if that's something that I can do also.

I don't think you can for now, but you can't possibly be the only one in this situation so I'm sure there will be some sort of "fix" from Google. Or at least I'm hoping so

Thinking about it, I don't think it something Google will be wanting to fix, as it's a Google phone, using the Google search engine.

So no... I don't think there will be much options for you.

    See what develops over time!!

If their motto is "do no evil" or whatever it is, they should be giving you options. but of course, who am i to say

Why not just use the browser, enter "bing.com" and search away?
