    Android Remote

Hey guys, yesterday i download an app called Gmote.

An android remote that can control your computer,

-Browse/Play music/video on your comp, and it acts like a remote, pause play etc

-Acts as a touchpad, you can control your Mouse and Keyboard!!!

Problem is, its a bit buggy, keyboard doesent work that well, sends the text few seconds behind, and there arent many options for the mouse as it was build for the G1 [im on N1]

And when i plays videos, i plays tru its own media player, and that is the only player you can control from your remote, so if you start a vlc playing a movie, you cant control that with the N1, you have to start it off the N1

Anyone have a Better remote app?

Most of these apps require the download of a server. What is a server? Do I need internet access to control my PC? Can I do it throught bluetooth?

The server is a small program that connects your phone to your computer allowing it to control the mouse and keyboard

with multiremote you can use the N1 as a stearing wheel utalising the accelarometer, great fro gaming

You need access to your network in one way or another...in other words, these apps will use (at least I assume they do) wifi from the N1 to connect to your home network, from there you can control your computer/application. You do not need access to the internet to control the PC, just access to your home network.
    Bought the AT&T N1.
