    Is my N1 getting slower?

    or is it just me?

It used to be super-duper fast. Now, I have probably 50 apps and 100 facebook synced contacts, and it's definitely slower. It's the little things.... I open an app.. it takes a second before it starts... home-screen sliding lags..

Is this only me?? Could it be one specific app that causes this? Will a factory-reset help??

You know what ive been noticing that on my phone too, it lags kinda often and its pissing me off, i was running Home++ so i went back to the default home thinking it was causing the lag, but it still does it, even i uninstalled a few apps i didnt use anymore but it still kinda does it. ive only had the phone for 2 months.

Yeah mine is a bit laggy as well. My nexus restarted because of this today. I want to root my Nexus because that seems to help a lot, but I'm not ready just yet.

funny enough, that this has been covered with the iPhone as well.

It seems a full reset and reload did the trick for it.

It would be the same concept of formatting you HD (hard drive) on your computer and reloading everything once a year... it runs amazzzzzing after that.

currently (unless rooted) all your apps get put on the phone internal memory. Unless Google comes up with a solution or your root, the more apps the more the phone will start to slow down.

I have about 200 apps now which is a bit overboard all installed on SD and have NO lag.... But whenever the phone lags a bit, I'll kill all apps and reopen whichever ones I'm using.

Or doing a reboot ever few days if you keep it permanently on helps.
