So it finally happened: Broke my N1

First day of spring. I grabbed my shorts and enjoy a wonderful 85* April day in Indiana. Unfortunately, I went to see the neighbors and stuck my phone in my back pocket instead of the side. I discovered this mistake while sitting on a log around the fire; trying to find my phone to display the gps waypoints from the hike earlier. The glass is cracked, it won't take calls or get on my wifi. It will charge and vibrate on boot, but gets hot after 15 minutes. The led screen is done and likely the chipset or main board. Still no scratches on the phone or screen...
    My questions:
Should I try to sell it "damaged" on ebay for parts for maybe $100?
HTC offers repairs. Does anyone have experience with this?
I could wait for the subsidized Verizon or ATT models. Or, should I just suck it up and wait for the carrier agnostic version?

Ive dropped a cell phone in the toilet before while taking a leak, it sucked.

To the OP, sorry to hear about the phone. Id be crushed if that happened to me, thats why I keep my phone in my man purse.

I miss the way I use to throw around my Hero without a care in world. Sat on it more than once in the car. Sure it had a few scratches and whatnot, but it kept on ticking.
