A question to those who have recently bought their Nexus One!

Hey so I heard that the newer batches of Nexus One's do not have the multi-touch issues that we have seen before. I was wondering if anyone who has recently bought the phone would be kind enough to confirm this for me by going to the market and downloading the multi-touch app themselves and testing it? I am referring to the problem demonstrated in the video below. The new N1's should behave just like the Incredible. Thanks!

Interesting... I just tried this and the N1 does do some funny stuff. However, if this thread hadn't of come up and I never tried the test app, I never would have known that it acts funny. I have never had issues with pinch-to-zoom with Google Maps nor with the browsers, quick office apps, etc...

So ya, maybe the N1 needs to fix something but I don't think you'll know it needs fixing unless you try this app. Real life seems ok.

I'd be surprised if there's any difference because it's a software issue and I don't think there are any software updates available. My phone is only 1 month old and is running the latest.

I don't think 2.2 is available yet, is it? Regardless, the ROM for the Droid is going to be different than for the N1. I also read, however, that it is a physically different screen so maybe it is a hardware issue... sure doesn't look like it to me from the test app but who knows...

Whatever the case, I don't even notice any problems in real life.

It's not software related, it's an entirely different touch screen in Incredible and the upcoming EVO.

Ya, that's what I wrote in my follow-up message. Well all I can say is it hasn't affected me at all.
