    I have used in the past PQ DVD to iPod video converter program I bought off the internet to convert DVD movies to iPod. That program had options to set the type of video rip you wanted - which came in very hand when ripping wide screen movies to full screen for my iPod.
    Anyway, those ripped movies do work on my Nexus One.
