Can I unlock my N1 so it will work on ATT?

I see info on "unlocking" and "rooting" my N1 but it seems that's more about the software not the carrier. Can I unlock my T-Mobile N1 to work on ATT? If so what a getting a data plan which is usually tied to a specific phone model?

I love my nexus, just not getting good coverage with tmobile

    1st - all N1s are unlocked.

2nd - if your N1 was built for T-Mo service it will run 2g on ATT but not 3g. There is nothing you can do to change this except purchase an N1 built for ATT.

Try and sell yours, then buy a new AT&T compatible one.
