There is a radio transmitter in the N1. Just have to wait til they enable it. Hopefully with Froyo it will become a reality.

I'm a big radio fan too. I need to listen to Espn radio and the ticket but I can't get a stream anywhere besides this crummy flycast app that's in beta. I really hope they enable it for froyo.

Maybe the Sony Xperia X10 (android) will have what you need: Sony Ericsson Xperia? X10 mobile phone | Touchscreen phone
o- Nexus One running CyanogenMod 6.0
o- Samsung Galaxy Tab running stock Froyo (update: running Gingerbread and virtually useless)

I've also heard that the transmitter may well be enabled in froyo, but that doesn't help listening to radio, only broadcasting to e.g. the car radio. There is also a receiver (although some of the specs I saw were a bit ambiguous on this), but none of the froyo rumours I have seen so far mention enabling this. Personally think both would be nice to have, but would favour transmitter over receiver. Should know more this week....

edit: - didn't see the link in the xda post specifying listening to fm radio - hope it is in addition to transmitter
