    Nexus one questions!

    Hey all,

About to sale my iPhone to get a Nexus One before the Google store shuts down.

    1. Does the texting look like bubbles like the iPhone? So its easy to see who said what and review messages? Maybe someone has a screenshot of the texting?

    2. Can I add my works Microsoft Exchange server to this for e-mail?

    3. Visual voicemail is working for T-Mobile correct?

    4. Is it easy to tether or get this phone to be able to tether?

    5. Can the Nexus get calender updates from my gmail account and add it to this calendar?

    THANKS!:nexusx:

Online store isn't shutting down anytime soon.

    1. Stock messaging app does not look anything like the one on iPhone, rather looks like a IM. If you want the look you can download an app called Handcent SMS which looks completely like the iPhone's messenging app, even with popup notifications.

    3. Visual Voicemail is available but you have to pay for it.

    4. In Froyo 2.2 the update will come with built-in USB tether. You can download an application called PDAnet that lets you USB or Bluetooth tether. Has free version and paid.

5.The stock calender syncs both ways.

Visual Voicemail is free with the data plan on T-Mobile. It doesn't work on wifi though.
Come here little sheep; I have a nice juicy apple for you!

If you don't want to use T-Mobile's free visual voicemail, you can set up a Google Voice account and it offers free visual voicemail.

Yeah google voice voice mail is free. You dont even need to change your number if that's all you're going to use it for. plus the transcriptions can be pretty useful if you're in a situation where you cant listen to your voice mail.

It uses 3G data, however make sure wifi is not enabled for proper operation.

Guess What? I just went to download PDAnet from the market and AT&T must have taken if off like they did "Where". It is nowhere to be found and it was there before today. I was going to get it and got sidetracked. Can you believe this????? I didn't know they could take all that out of the market place? I am upset now...Thank goodness I already had "where" downloaded. I can't get any updates for it though because of ATT!
