more specifically, did anyone in the U.S. get the update? I noticed that everyone that is currently receiving the update is located in Europe.

    From Google help forum:

I’m the Product Manager for the Nexus One. Great to see that you are all looking forward to Froyo! Trust me, we can't wait to get you guys all the Froyo goodness, but have a few things to take care of before it's ready for show time. We are working tirelessly to push the release ASAP.

In the meantime, we have released the 2.2 SDK so developers can get a head start and make sure their apps function properly on Froyo.

In terms of the update process, you will automatically see a notification asking you do to "System Update" when it’s pushed. You can also go to "Settings" > "About" > "System Updates" if you clear the notification and want to update later.

The team has worked hard to bring you Froyo, hope you guys like it!

    Gaurav.

I'm not too sure what this means. When was this posted on the help forum? I am still seeing tweets of people who are getting the OTA - or at least claim to be getting the OTA. Then another tweet saying that the whole thing is a confirmed fake. Really don't know what to make of it all. Bored of it all now. Time to do something else
