Froyo update is not final release!?

I thought Google had confirmed that the Nexus One update to Froyo was final release? Am I wrong or have I misinterpreted this latest tweet by googleio?

"RT @AndroidDev 2.2 is being rolled out to a very limited test group. Final build to be available for OTA updates shortly, stay tuned!"

    Google I/O (googleio) on Twitter

When they say OTA, what they mean is OTA.

Just because someone found a file on the internet does not make this an OTA update.

Terms need to be understood correctly. OTA does not mean downloading and manually flashing a file(s).

So when the "final" build of the Froyo update is released I'll simply apply the update again. No biggie.

True. It's already awesome now; and if it's gonna get even better than hell ya! Christmas time again!

Yeah I hope the "final" build fixes a few of the little bugs in the release I manually updated with. I guess this is why the manual update download link no longer appears to work!

    Interesting, and good to know.

Does that mean to all of us that did the Manual update will most likely get the OTA than.

It has to be, how else would the 'test' group they tried to get it to get the final build?

    We'll be fine.
