I always just use the pouch that came with the phone, I think it looks cool in it. I had a screen protector and rubber skin but took them off as the screen protector just got so dirty and looked horrible. But sometimes use the skin if I'm going out drinking just to be extra safe.

in my experience a case did more damage than being naked. Thats why i always just put a full skin on the phone. protects it from scratches and minor falls

I got the Gelliskin and it is a good quality case. However I don't like the extra bulk now I just use the stock pouch.

my main problem with cases is that i tend to get dirt and dust stuck inside the case against the phone and it wears out the outside of the phone

I use a screen protector 100% of the time but other than that, bare.
However I do use the soft android case in potentially dangerous situations.
    Only way to go...

While cases don't protect the phone 100%, i've done a few short drops with my nexus and the seidio innocase protected the phone from any scratches each time....

GET A BELT HOLSTER. I got a cheap one off ebay for 9 bucks, and keep the nexus in it whenever its not in my hands. Pockets arent very safe for nexus's! :P

Also please people don't get in the habit of ever putting your phone on the ground whether its in a case or out of the case. Also don't set your phone on the bed.

mine is naked with a belt holster whenever I go out. Dropped it once from belt level, naked, and barely a scratch. I got lucky, but my heart skipped a beat.
