    Nexus One GPS question

    Hi all,

I just got my N1 last week, and still exploring the uses of the phone.

I have 1 question on the GPS function.. If I'm overseas and wish to use the google map for navigation, will there be any data charges on the usage of the navigation tool? From what my friend told me, GPS usage is free, however there will be data charges to you due to the downloading of the map. Is this true?

Btw, I have a local data plan..

    Thanks in advance

True. You will need to either use a non-data source for maps (ala CoPilot, et al) or pay for a LOCAL data SIM in the location you plan to use the data service.

Thanks Alpha.. Is the app CoPilot free? cos I cant find it in the market, and my country is one of the places where paid apps are not available.. Any other good and free navigation apps I can download for this purpose - able to locate and track my journey from start to end like the navigation app?
