    Google Voice Messaging - Help

    Whenever someone textx my google voice number, it gets sent to the messaging program too. Is there a way to turn that off? I've hunted around a lot.

    Log into google voice on your computer. Go to settings at the top right, and then voicemail/text option. Uncheck the email or text options under "voicemail notification". There you go!

    I don't see an option to not forward text messages.

    Got it. Had to edit my phone settings.

    The Google Voice app on Android has a setting to disable forwarding to that phone. You no longer have to disable it on the website.
