    Facebook App on N1

Is anyone familiar with it? Can you set up a ringtone for it for messages?

...Or , I believe, it is slightly different kind of app than the kind i had on the Blackberry, isn't it?

I can't find a way to leave a message for someone when I go into the app...can you? Or can u only do the things on the main menu. feeds, etc..

    thanks
    Eric

Yah you can assign ringtones to facebook notifications in settings. To compose a message just go into the "inbox" and hit menu -> compose.

    ahhhhh dt...

    thank you.

I see how to set a notification tone for Facebook

But I did not quite understand that sending the message..
You said something about going to the inbox.

I think you were speaking about sending a general email or text werent you

I was asking, How do you right click on a FaceBook Friend's name in the Facebook app and send a message, as I used to in the Blackberry app. Can you send a message to a FB friend from within the app, or any other way??

    thx
    Eric

So basically you can onlly do the things in that menu...and NO sending messages within that specific App

    OR

is the connection bad in the app

    or both

    the Blackberry app was great

It may make just as much sense to make a bookmark on the desktop, huh?? but you would still get no notification

There are none of those now are there? man it blows

You need to get the recent update from the market to send messages! Go to the market and search for the facebook app. Since the app is native, the phone acts as it doesn't know it is installed!

It's a pretty horrible app. You can't even check events!

Does anyone know how to get the complete message from FB rather than a few words? I know I can load the site, but I want a complete thread message rather than the teaser I now get.

Don't see anything in a newer phone that gives me a temptation to leave my Nexus One!
