I'm not sure, but I manually updated on my AT&T Nexus One with the download link via Engadget ---->Android 2.2 Froyo FRF85 now available for Nexus One (update: official) -- Engadget

It works flawlessly. Such a big difference in speeds. I recommend it manually update if you don't want to wait for the OTA.=) :nexusx:

According to the link in posting #2 that build there does work on a T-Mobile phone - though they reference a different starting build if you are already running Froyo.
You are on AT&T so I think you'd be safe??

It is safe. The download link engadget provides successfully installed on my phone.

The previous links that were given always gave myself and many AT&T users errors while trying to install the update. However, this one works!

Cool, thanks for the reply. I am already on 2.2 FRF50 - guess, I am waiting for the OTA.
