I manually updated from ERE27, to FRF85B and it went fine. But my problem is I can't send SMS anymore. It just says "Sending..."

Can anyone confirm if I can redo this all over again this time upgrading to 50 then 83 then to 85B?

Larvs, you might just need to check your APN settings. I've read where some folks who manually updated needed to reset them to get things back in working order.

Thanks for the response, Maris. I restored my APNs to the default ones (which basically cleaned my saved APNs) but I still can't send any SMS.

Is it fine if I just install the FRF50 over the FRF85B? So that from there, I can go to FRF83 then upgrade again to FRF85B?

Have you tried to reboot and do a battery pull? Try that.
Turn off your phone. Remove your battery. Wait 1-2 minutes. Reinsert the battery and turn your phone back on.
Come here little sheep; I have a nice juicy apple for you!

Thanks iPhoneslayer, I tried that, I also tried inserting a different SIM for the same carrier that I use but still no go. I tried reflashing it wtih the same file still the same.

I'm now trying to flash it again using the link from XDA that's supposedly Universal (which when I checked, looked exactly the same as the one I first flashed.

    I'll post updates.

Zehlek, what was your version before you flashed?
