Yeah. If you don't normally see file extensions (assuming you're using windows), then your zip file already has the extension .zip. If you added .zip yourself, then your file, like I said before, will end up as "update.zip.zip".
I make all of my file extensions visible in Win7, so in my case, I would type "update.zip". In the case above, you would simply type "update" when you rename.
Ok. Instead of using the trackball try this.
Turn off phone.
When the phone is completely off, Hold down the volume down botton and press the power button.(Make sure you keep holding down the volume botton until you get to the boot screen..then let go.)
Once you're in the bootscreen...select "recovery" by using the volume down button to navigate.
Once "recovery" is highlighted, press the power button.
Then follow steps 6-8 from post #5.
Come here little sheep; I have a nice juicy apple for you!
Nexus One: Locked and Rooted
I have tried trackball + power & vol down + power, both didn't work.
I have a feeling that it has something to do with the msg "recovery image not found"?
Anyone knows how to deal with this? How do I restore the recovery image?
