    hmmm,

kill the command prompt for now, then power up your phone normally, but still connected to the computer. then type in the dos prompt until you get to cd c:\fastboot. leave it at that, i.e, don't type in the fastboot windows oem unlock bit.

then power down your phone, hold down trackball and power button to enter bootloader. at this point, leave the command prompt running, and double check device manager can still see the phone, then type the unlock bit into the command prompt.

Good call Zippy, think i heard the peculiar sound of my brain melting!

when you try it again tomorrow, try this: disconnect the phone from computer. Then put phone into bootloader screen (trackball & power button). Then re-connect phone to computer. Then enter dos prompt.

    Good luck mate

Thanks for the heads up, looks like they deleted it from the server. I've put the unzipped file in my dropbox, download it here:

@ Zippy did you remember to enable usb debugging ? settings-aplications-development-usb debugging tick to select.

Sorry if you already tried this.

If you Guys or any body struggled with opening a cmd at the tool file in sdk you may want to download doshere, this enables a cmd prompt in the menu when you right click on a folder.

I'll keep reading here, as it took me a day to figure it all out but I got there with the help of Floogle and others and learned quite a bit.

    Cheers....

I'm having the exact same problem as mentioned, -waiting for device-

I can't find these settings, is this in the SDK Setup.exe GUI?

    More information from anyone please.

Zippy the settings are on your phone menu. Boot the phone normally and go to settings

I thought this was going to be the fix, but I'm still having the same issue.

Even after restart it's still -awaiting device- would it help if I removed sdk and ran sdk setup again, with usb debugging on?
