    Returning to HOME gets slower

I've been noticing that when I press the HOME button to return to my homepage, it gets slower and slower even after a reset.

When I reset my phone (power off then on), returning home is a snap, but by the end of the day, it takes about a second or more to return home.

    What could be causing this?

Specs: Stock 2.2, Launcher Pro, Nexus Revamped wallpaper

    Thanks

You got something running in the background that's probably doing that.

According to App Killer, I have these apps running:

    Smart Keyboard
    Facebook
Android Agenda Widget (my guess is this is the culprit)
    Market
    Voice Dailer
    Gmail
    Pure Grid calender Widget
    Handcent
    Messaging
    Google Voice
    Calculator
    Aloqa
    No Lock

App Killer is not needed. Plenty of explanation. And I'm not talking about apps in the background, Android is designed to have apps in the back ground. You don't need an app killer program when you already got something installed that will tell you what is running.

Setting > Applications > Manage Applications > Running Tab will tell you what's actually running on your Nexus.

Setting > Applications > Running Services will tell you what is really running the background

Get rid of App Killer, that actually could be your problem as well.

    According to Running Services page:

    Hancent
    Aloqa - WidgetControlService, Aloqa Service
    Pure Grid calendar Widget
    No Lock
    Battery Life
    Google Services Framework
    Smart Keyboard
    Nexus Revamp

I can't tell you what is slowing down your home return. Something might overlapping, something might not be built right. I don't know much about it. The only thing I can tell you is trial and error. If you think you found the culprit, uninstall, reboot see how it runs. Or you can back up everything do a factory reset and see if anything clears up. If you reinstall everything and the problem recurs, then you know it's an app.
